Marinated Mushrooms Appetizers

about 48 medium size mushrooms
COMBINE
1 cup white wine
1 cup vinegar
1 sliced onion,peeled
2 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp. pickling spice
1 bay leaf
3 - 10 oz. sterilized bottles and caps
crisco oil

Wash the mushrooms, quickly ,cut off stems and let dry on paper towels thoroughly. Meanwhile, sterilize the bottles.

Put the wine, vinegar, onion, garlic, spices and bay leaf in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.

After mushrooms are dry, peel them. Bring marinade to a boil and add mushrooms. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool in covered saucepan.

Put 16 mushrooms in each bottle ( 16 - 20 ). Cover with the marinade. Pour a little oil over this. Loosely cover and cool.

Completely cover and refrigerate. Keep in the refrigerator for up to three months.
