Sweet & Sour Meatballs Appetizers

1lb. lean ground beef
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup 1% milk
salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1 egg
SAUCE:
2 tbsp. lightly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. minced fresh ginger
1 clove garlic,minced
2/3 cup orange juice
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tbsp. light soya sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix together beef, bread crumbs, milk, salt pepper, allspice, and egg. Form into 3/4-inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake in 350¼F oven for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in liquid measure, combine sauce ingredients.

Transfer meatballs to a 2 quart casserole; add sauce and bake, covered in a 325¼F oven for 30 minutes. Serve hot with toothpicks as a starter or over rice as an entrŽe. Will keep in refrigerator4 days. Freezes well.
