Date-Orange Bread,Raised Breads

For Loaf
1 recipe sweet roll dough, ready for shaping
2 tbsp. melted butter
Icing sugar
Filling
1 - 7 1/2 oz. pkg. chopped dates
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1/2 cup boiling water

FILLING: Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over dates. Add walnuts and rind and mix. Then puree mixture in a food processor or blender.

LOAF:Roll 1/2 of dough recipe into a 13"x 9" rectangle.Brush with 1 tbsp. melted butter.Spread filling evenly over dough; then roll up from short side. Place, seam side down, in lightly buttered 9"x 5"x 3" loaf pan, resting roll against one side of pan. Now brush top with remaining butter. Cover with tea towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until double in bulk. Preheat oven to 350F; bake loaf 40 min. or until it sounds hollow when tapped. Let cool and then sprinkle with icing sugar.

NOTE: Use other half of dough recipe for rolls or another sweet bread.
