Garlic Bread, Herbed Breads

1 thin baguette 20 inches long
1/4 cup light herbed cream cheese, softened
1 clove garlic, minced
pinch pepper

GARLIC SPREAD
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp.chopped garlic
1/4 tsp. Oregano
1/4 tsp. Basil
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
Tabasco or Worcestershire to taste
salt & pepper to taste

Cut baguette lengthwise in half almost but not all the way through to the bottom. In a bowl, mash together cream cheese, garlic and pepper; spread on cut sides of loaf. Wrap tightly in foil.

Bake baguette in a 350¼F oven for 10 minutes; open foil and bake for 5 minutes more until crusty and hot.

Unwrap and slice to serve. Makes 4 to 6 servings.(about 170 calories per serving)

Mix all ingredients for garlic spread into a paste. Spread on FOCACCIA BREAD or SLICED FRENCH BAGUETTE and bake in 350¼F oven until golden brown.
