Whole Wheat Bread Sesame Breads

3 tbsp. granulated yeast
3/4 cups very warm water
1/2 tsp. sugar
3 cups lukewarm milk
6 tbsp. softened butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
3 tbsp.sesame seeds
3 tbsp. cornmeal
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp. salt
7 to 8 cups sifted all-purpose flour, 1 cup at a time

Combine yeast, water and sugar. Let rise for 10 minutes.

Combine milk, butter, brown sugar, molasses, seeds and cornmeal. Stir until butter melts. To this add the yeast mixture, the eggs and the w.w. flour. Stir it all until smooth, then cover and set aside in a warm place for 25 minutes. Then beat in the salt and flour, 1 cup at a time.

Now turn it out onto a floured board and knead it. It is a sticky dough.Add more flour,a little at a time, if you have to, and keep kneading about 7 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic. Put the dough in a large greased bowl, turn it over once to grease both sides, cover and set in a warm place to rise until double; -about 1 hour.

Punchthe dough down and divide into 3 parts, shape into loaves and put into 3 medium-sized buttered pans. Cover again and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Brush the top with beaten egg, sprinkle more sesame seeds on top and bake at 350 F for 35 - 45 minutes. Turn the loaves onto racks and let cool.
