Fruit Nut Drops | Cakes & Cookies |
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 3 cups coarsely chopped nuts |
4 slices(8 ounces) green candied pineapple cut in pieces
3/4 lb. red candied cherries, quartered 1/2 cup flour |
Beat egg whites until almost stiff; then gradually beat in sugar until stiff. Add vanilla and a dash of salt.
Dredge nuts and fruits with flour until coated. Fold into first mixture. Drop from teaspoon on to a well greased cooky sheet. Bake in a moderate oven 350 F about 15 to 20 minutes. Cool.
Makes about 4 dozen.
