Peanut Butter Triangles | Cakes & Cookies |
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 cup butter or margerine 1 cup peanut butter |
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs, well beaten 1 (8 ounce) pckg. peanut brittle |
Oven temperature 350 F; time, 16 to 20 minutes
Crush the peanut brittle
Sift the flour, baking soda and salt together.
In a large mixer bowl beat butter and peanut butter together at high speed.Add beaten eggs and blend thoroughly. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Add dry ingredients slowly. Stir in 1 1/4 cups of peanut brittle.
Spread dough into greased 15"x10"x 1" jelly roll pan. Sprinkle remaining peanut brittle on top.
Bake in moderate oven for 16 to 20 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2 inch bars or triangles. Decorate with vanilla frosting and whole peanuts, if desired.
