1-12 oz. pkg cranberries
1-1/2 cups apple juice 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 10 cups sliced peeled apples (about 7) TOPPING |

In a heavy saucepan, bring cranberries, apple juice, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg to a boil over med. heat; cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until thickened. Spoon into 13" X 9"
baking dish. Arrange apples over cranberry mixture, overlapping to fit. Bake in a 400¼F oven for 15 minutes.
TOPPING; In a bowl, combine flour, all but 1 tbsp. of the sugar, baking powder, salt. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in the butter until in coarse crumbs. Drizzle with milk, stirring until in pebble-size chunks. Drop by the spoonful onto apples. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden.
