Edna's Strawberry Shortcake Desserts
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup butter
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt 		1 large egg, beaten
2/3 cup milk
2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
1 cup whipping cream, whipped

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Combine the beaten egg and milk.

Cut the butter into the flour mix. Make a well in the centre and pour in the egg-milk mix. Mix well, beating until smooth.

Pour in greased 9" square pan or drop by large tablespoon on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400F until golden brown.(about 15 min.?)
