Czech; Beef Goulash Foreign Cookery

3 lbs. round beef cut in cubes
4 medium onions, sliced
1 garlic clove,diced
1 can consomme soup
1 large can tomatoes
3 green peppers, free of ribs and seeds
1 tsp. carrowary seeds
1 -2 tbsp.+ of paprika
salt to taste
flour for thickening

Shake beef cubes in flour.

Using a stew pot and fry pan, first brown onions and garlic until golden in butter.Remove to large stew pot.

Place meat cubes in a fry pan at 350 F and sear on all sides.

Remove to stew pot. Put can of consomme in fry pan and collect all the meat juices and goodies. Put in stew pot. Add to the stew pot the tomatoes, peppers, carrowary seeds,paprika and salt. Cover and simmer gently for one hour.This is even better the second day.

Serve with dumplings or noodles and a tossed salad.
