Poland; Pork Steaks in Wine Foreign Cookery

2 tbsp. butter
4-1" thick pork steaks
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup red wine
1 sprig parsley
dilled tomato cups with peas
(see recipe)

Brown steaks on both sides in heated butter in a hot skillet. Remove and set aside.

Cook onions and mushrooms until wilted, not browned. Return steaks to the skillet. Pour the wine over the meat and mushroom-onion mix. Cover and cook until tender on simmer, about 1 hour.

Arrange on a heated platter. garnish with parsley sprig and dill tomato cups with peas.

Serves 4 people.
