1 large grapefruit
2 large oranges 3 large lemons |
6 cups water
7 cups sugar |
Wash the fruit. Cook all the fruit in the water which has been brought to a boil. Cook until you can pierce with a fork. Remove fruit and cool. Reserve water.
When cooled,remove pulp from the fruit and squeeze through a strainer into the reserved water. Put remaining pulp and rind through a fine food chopper. Add to the liquid and then add the sugar.Cook until it reaches the jell stage ( about 1 1/2 hours or longer). Put in sterilized bottles.
