one 2 to 3 lb. flank steak
1 cup good red or white wine 2 med. onions,sliced 1 garlic clove,minced 1 can mushroom pieces,drained ORfresh mushrooms,cleaned,sliced and fried |
1 can undiluted mushroom soup
1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 tsp. paprika milk as required salt&pepper to taste |
Early in the day,slice the flank steak at 45degree angle and marinate for3to4 hours in the wine.
Brown the onions and garlic in margerine until golden. Remove from pan and set aside.(Brown the mushrooms in the same pan and set aside with the onion-garlic mix).
Drain the steak and pat dry on paper towels. Quickly brown the steak on both sides at a high temp.. Remove from the pan.
Add the mushroom soup to fry pan at simmer heat,stir and dilute with wine from the marinade. Heat to bubbly. Add paprika and parsley and stir. Return onions,garlic and steak to the sauce and heat through. Keep warm until ready to serve but do not boil.
Serve with rice or noodles .
