Apricot Sauce Sauces & Gravies

20 medium dried apricots
1 1/3 cup orange juice
1 tsp. orange rind,grated
1 can(360g) apricot halves, well drained
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar,to taste
2 tbsp. Kirsch

Pur dried apricots,orange juice and peel, sugar in a saucepan and cook over med. heat,partially covered, for 10 to 20 minutes until apricots are soft. Blend all ingredients together and put in the wotk bowl of your food processor and blend until all is pureed. If too thick add more Kirsch and orange juice. Serve warm or chilled.
