Garlic Sauce Sauces & Gravies

SKORTHALEA
10 slices white bread
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 whole garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. water

From the Frugal Gourmet. A sauce to be served with deep fried sea food, fish or chicken

Remove the crusts from the bread and cube the bread. Set in a bowl and add olive oil, vinegar,and the pressed juice from 1 whole garlic.(not just 1 clove, but the whole thing)

Let the mixture rest for at least one hour. Next, whip in a mixer until smooth and add the lemon juice and water.

Serve.
