Celery Fried with Chicken Livers | Vegetables & Fruits |
6 whole celery hearts with leaves
1/2 cup butter 1 lb. chicken livers,cut up 1 cup sliced mushrooms |
1/2 cup dry sherry
1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 tsp. salt |
Saute celery in butter for 15 minutes. Remove celery from skillet and keep warm. Saute chicken livers and mushrooms for 10 minutes in the butter remaining in the skillet. Add sherry, cream and salt. Simmer, stirring frequently, until hot but do not allow to boil. Return celery to sauce and heat through. Serves 6.
