Harvard Beets | Vegetables & Fruits |
1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar 2 or 3 cloves 1/2 tsp. salt |
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup vinegar 3 cups cooked beets,cubed 2 tbsp. butter |
Mix cornstarch,sugar and seasonings. Add water and vinegar to make sauce.Heat to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for another minute. Place over hot water and add cooked beets. Let stand 3/4 to 1 hour. Add butter just before serving. Serves 6.
