Onion Slices Sauteed Vegetables & Fruits

6 large onions
1/2 cup butter
----------------
18 small onions,peeled
6 cups boiling water
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 cup water

Peel onions and cut into 1/2" slices. Saute very slowly in butter for 10 minutes ot until tender, turning once.

Serves 6.

BAKED ONIONS ----MRS. DAVE COLEM AN

Step 1. Cook onions in the boiling water, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Drain. Put in a buttered casserole.

Step 2. Combine the melted butter,sugar, ketchup, thyme and water. Pour this over the onions. Bake in a 350F oven for 45 minutes or until tender,basting onions with the sauce every 10 minutes.

Serves 6.
