Squash, Butternut Maple Vegetables & Fruits

1 medium butternut squash
1 tsp. butter
1 tbsp. maple syrup
salt & pepper to taste

Peel the squash and remove the seeds and fibres from the center. Cut the squash into 1" squares. Put in a microwave saucepan. Add 1/4 cup water or less. Microwave for 4 minutes on full power. Stir. Microwave for 4 more minutes on full power or until soft. Drain the water off thoroughly. Add butter and fold in. Fold in the maple syrup. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Serves 6 as a side dish.
