Squash, Butternut baked Vegetables & Fruits

1 kg. butternut squash
2 or 3 tbsp.light corn syrup
1 tsp.powdered ginger
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1/4 cup brown sugar

Peel the squash, cut in half vertically and remove seeds. Cut squash meat into 2"x2" squares approx.. Microwave with a small amount of water until tender. Cool and drain.

Put prepared squash in a buttered casserole; drizzle with the corn syrup, sprinkle with ginger, grated orange and a little brown sugar. Dot with butter and bake in a 350¼F oven for about 20 minutes. Serve hot as a side dish.
