1/4 cup olive oil 2 large onions(about 3 cups), coarsely chopped 2 bunches, about 2 lbs. Swiss Chard,washed, stalks and leaves separated |
2 tsp. balsamic vinegar

In a large, deep sided skillet, over medium-low heat,heat oil. Cook onion about 10 minutes, until soft and browned, stirring occasionally. Add stalks and cook, 15 to 20 minutes, until tender, stirring occasionally. Add leaves, in batches, if necessary, and continue cooking about 10 minutes, until very wilted and tender. Toss with vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
