Tomatoes, Broiled Vegetables & Fruits

2 small garlic cloves, crushed
3 tbsp. chopped green onions
1/4 cup butter or marg. melted
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. dry basil
4 medium tomatoes

Mix all the ingredients,except tomatoes, together in a bowl. Cut tomatoes in half crosswise. Place in an 11"x 9" baking dish and spread with breadcrumb mixture. Refrigerate until ready to serve or up to 5 hours.

To serve, bring to room temperature. Place under broiler until crumbs are lightly browned. Makes 8 servings.
